First off… Wow, what a great game! I would not touch or change anything… except for the fact that this game needs a God mode! I would love to be able to play through the game without being bothered by the bullets!

Its just 99 cents for a new ship! Get a life! This was one of the reasons I got an iphone!

Do not waste time killing your eyes with this game. Instead, get Gemini Strike. Its everything this game tried to be, and nothing it already is. (Gemini Strike is pretty much every way better than this game in any way possible.)

Best game and the planes is so awesome and the game will be my favorite game ever

This game is literally my favorite bullet hell shooter Ive found so far in the App Store. I say that because the gameplay mechanics are rock solid and the controls are tight - 3D Touch to activate your power up is so intuitive and a perfect fit for playing with one hand. The weapons and weapon upgrades are awesome and the enemies and bullet patterns are challenging. Localized leaderboards is a great idea and keeps me wanting to play everywhere I go. The only downside is the only way to unlock new ships is to pay, which is ridiculous - at least let players buy ships with coins, I dont care if its a 1,000,000 coins per ship, just having the option to use in-game currency to buy ships will give the game tons of replayability and not lock out people who dont want to spend real money. The pay-to-unlock model makes this game four star at best. The UI design is also pretty lackluster, especially for a game that has great in-game visuals and such solid gameplay. Otherwise, highly recommended for the gameplay alone.

I find this game to be very fun especially when I dont have any Internet connection the game is quite challenging when you get into the higher levels and have some solid day mechanics all in all its a pretty good game to get for free I wouldnt really spend seven dollars though to get the upgraded ships

Hands down, the best bullet hell game in the App Store. Super smooth gameplay and lots of cool innovations to the genre. New ships (5 in total) have to be paid for though. I recommend corsair and mirage--shogun is not strong enough for its gameplay style and trinity is actually not fun to play with as the game is always in slow motion--and you are all set. Do not miss out on this game!

This is an excellent game. Colorful and exciting and overall action packed. Perfect mobile game for many occasions in the day. Ive opened it at least once a day sense Ive downloaded Pheonix HD.

This game is the best shoot game I ever Played!

I think its a great game but you should be able to get ships with coins and maybe you could put more into the upgrades and you should make it so you have more ways to get coins so it does not take for ever to get certain buffs and you could also make it so you could cash in youre test flights for coins......

I have been stuck on this game sense 2010! Bought every ship and have all the #1 spots with every ship in 2 cities in Los Angeles... I LOVE THIS GAME

I love just dropping into this game and feeling like a modern day top gun pilot in space. This game is highly recommended

Its similar to my childhood game so I love it

This is the only game that has stayed on my device since I downloaded it. Its a great game but the only downside is I wish you could use coins to buy new ships. Like 100,000 coins could buy a ship.

It helps me pass a lot of time and It was easy to learn and fun to play.

And its free. They give you free tries every day of the ships you dont own. And at $1 per ship its easy to find one or two you like and justify buying it. If you like free the ship you start with is just as good as the others (and they each have separate leaderboards so who cares anyway)

This brings back memories of my childhood great game.

FIRST!!!!: allow me to lol at the moron that said this is a copy of skyforce. The real review: Seriously a great game but like the title I say its not for the video gamer of today. Most people dont remember that games used to be difficult and actually challenging now just bs for us to mindlessly triumph over then review "eh the graphics were cool i guess..." Or "this game is too difficult waaahhhhh

After all of these years, this is still my favorite iOS game.

Currently still my hands down number 1 favorite app game and Ive played a lot of app games. Ive always loved top down plane shooters and Phoenix HD is just amazing. Definitely worth checking out and getting.
